Perhaps an update to this package can be created? Some bugs (listed at http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/wishlist/ ) have been fixed, and isn't really a gigantic size increment. Besides, there hasn't been a release since 2007. These snapshots shouldn't do any harm.
