Create a kickass Windows Installation CD
Create a Windows Installation CD that automatically installs all your favorite programs and save time when you have to re-install. Here is what you need to know, and believe me it’s a fairly easy and straightforward process.
What do you need is:
- nLite - it’s a small free program that helps you to modify your Windows CD. You can remove components, integrate drivers, slipstream service packs, configure services, apply different tweaks and so on. In this case we will use it to integrate software.
- .Net Framework 2.0 - needed to run nLite. You probably have it installed already as more and more programs require it nowadays like the ATI’s Control Center, Paint.net, etc.
- Windows CD of course 
- Addons - they are programs for your Windows installation CD. Integrate them as hotfixes with nLite and they will be silently installed during Windows setup. The more programs you want to integrate, the more addons you will have to download. There are more than 200 addons currently available in the nLite Addons category and you can find even more in the nLite Application Addons Forum.
Duration:
The whole procedure takes from 5 to 20 minutes. It really depends on how many software you want to integrate.
How To Do It:
1. Copy the content of your Windows install CD to your hard drive.
2. Watch the video (~2 mins, 1MB), after that burn the created ISO either with Nero or with nLite’s integrated burner.

Good post. I’m making my first unattended Windows disc. I was wondering if there are any tutorials or info on how to make my own addons. I just want to be able to customize where the program is installed and to enter in serial numbers for it. I just like to have all the folders named with correct capitalization.
