The full title is the Combined Community Codec Pack. Actually, it’s more like a filter pack than a codec pack but filter doesn’t begin with C and we wanted a good acronym. The name is also a pun on the Russian name Союз Советских Социалистических Республик, which is transliterated into the Latin alphabet as “Soyuz Sovietskikh Sotsialisticheskikh Respublik”, or “Union of Soviet Socialist Republics”, abbreviated as “СССР” or “USSR”. Blame Lenin and the Commies. Blame movax. Jokes aside, the CCCP was created to replace the filter packs provided by several anime fansub groups into a single reliable pack capable of decoding practically any group’s files - without breaking compatibility for other formats. Since then we’ve grown into a pack that can decode more or less anything that you will run into during your travels on the internet.

It’s hard to say since it’s not the exact same thing. Some users prefer it over K-Lite. You should give it a try and see if it satisfies your needs

In my case, i find this pack much more stable and comprehensive than klcp, obviously saying that klcp is not stable and has some problems is (maybe) stretching, but i did have some issues with it, and i never once had anything with this one

This is so much better you cant even compare it to KLCP. This pack has better video decoding, you really notice it on 1080p because its smooth playback whereas on KLCP its not. It also has better black levels!!! The BEST thing about it, is that it does not install tonnes of crap and spyware like KLCP

This one is better than klcp.
I downloaded the setup to install in working window ( right now ) to test it.
Previously I had klcp installed and had wmp11 with dfx 9, and dfx worked for all audio files, but not for the files that klcp made wmp to play (like divX and flv) , though dfx showed spectrum analyzer and power on etc, but there was no effect, even when the maxed the configuration of dfx to 10 [ I have the cracked version of dfx, : ) ], or I powered it off.
But not with cccp, dfx work and works well.
I am gonna use this in my next window, I downloaded the addon and I am gonna put it in window.
